A downloadable Playdate game

A tubular shooter played entirely with the crank! Avoid obstacles and take fire at enemies while hurtling down a futuristic 360 degree road, turned with the crank.

Includes a 50 stage campaign to blast through, and a daily challenge mode. Chase your own high scores (and hopefully those of others!).

The high-definition pseudo-3D art is accompanied by a thumping retrosynth drum'n'bass soundtrack.

Tau is out now on Catalog

I'm considering an Itch release, but as online scoreboards are only available for Catalog games it requires some consideration and a separate build!

Oh man, if the full version releases here you've definitely got my support!! <3

A minimal manual with details about enemies or bonuses would be useful. I have difficulties to say if some items should actually be picked or avoided. Thank you!

Heyhey how'd you do the 3D effect?

My only criticism from the demo is it feels too much like I am rotating the tube rather than steering the ship.

Cool game :) Looking forward to the full release. Something I would suggest is adding support to use d-pad to spin the tube , I prefer using the d-pad. So unless you already bound the d-pad left/right to some special feature adding support to use it would be nice

I think you’re missing the point, the device’s purpose is to make us learn new ways to play with our bodies

and I’m totally missing the point of accessibility.
